The purpose of the Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame is to recognize persons
whose outstanding volunteer leadership has resulted in significant
contributions to Rancho Bernardo.

On Saturday, April 30, 2011, the Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame celebrated its 100th inductee at a gala, black tie optional dinner at the Bernardo Heights Country Club. To celebrate this special event, the Hall of Fame inducted Harry Summers, the founder of Rancho Bernardo, as an honorary member, recognizing his early efforts to create this very special community in which we live.

Over the last 34 years, the RB Hall of Fame has inducted outstanding community volunteers and honored them at an annual luncheon. For this special year, nomination of community volunteers will be suspended, and the format will be a formal, by-invitation gala hosted by several Rancho Bernardo benefactors.

The sponsors of the event were First American Trust Company, Casa de la Campanas, The Dokmo Family, Joe and Mary Karcsig, Sue Herndon with Prudential California Realty, and the Summers Family.

Robin Kaufman, the RB Hall of Fame President and Bob Wells, an earlier inductee, were emcees for the dinner program. In addition to honoring Harry Summers, it recognized all past Hall of Fame inductees.
